WWE TLC FROM THE TARGET CENTER IN MINNEAPOLIS SUNDAY AT 7:30 P.M. ON THE WWE NETWORK
The odds are the most updated we have from 5Dimes. A lot of the results feel obvious but the odds are long enough right now that it appears these are mostly smart money guided odds.
Kurt Angle & Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins vs. Kane & Braun Strowman & The Miz & Cesaro & Sheamus in a TLC match — This should be a great action packed match although I wish Angle’s return had more hype behind it and a story and also wasn’t in a TLC match. But we all know the reasons, as the company feels they need to give the fans something special in the main event after not having The Shield’s first match back as the show was built around. The babyface team is a -900 favorite and by all rights they should win.
Finn Balor vs. A.J. Styles — This is a late add and really this is a time where neither should lose. Styles is being built up for Jinder Mahal and is coming off losing to Baron Corbin, so it’s not his time to lose, nor Balor’s. The way the company usually books with guys losing when they aren’t continuing on the brand would mean Balor wins here. Balor is a -530 favorite in a match where, unless the finish is known, the odds shouldn’t be that long. This match is expected to be the show stealer and perhaps one of the best WWE matches of the year.
Kalisto vs. Enzo Amore for the Cruiserweight title — Enzo is a -900 favorite here. The cruiserweight title change, when it was made, was a short-term reign and for it to go back to Enzo. Whether that’s here or another week or two is the question, but that’s why Enzo is the big favorite.
Alexa Bliss vs. Mickie James for the Women’s title — Bliss is a -900 favorite and again one would expect her to win since she’s the most featured woman on the Raw side and James is just positioned as her victim to tide things over a month.
Asuka vs. Emma — These two can have a good match, since they did on a Takeover show. But this should be a quick win for Asuka to get her over as a killer rather than a long, competitive match. Asuka is a -5250 favorite, which tells you that nobody thinks Emma can win.
Rich Swann & Cedric Alexander vs. Brian Kendrick & Jack Gallagher — This should be a well wrestled match. Whether people get excited over it is a different story. Kendrick & Gallagher are -210 favorites, the closest thing to short odds on the show.
Alicia Fox vs. Sasha Banks (preshow match) — Even though Banks has won the first two meetings and WWE usually switches results in multiple-match programs, Banks is a -900 favorite.
Overall on paper, this show is much improved. I don’t know that Angle replacing Reigns will make it a better match, but there is more interest and curiosity since Angle hasn’t wrestled in WWE in 11 years. Balor vs. Styles will be the first meeting in the promotion and I can’t recall them ever wrestling in a major company previously. But this show didn’t look good except for the TLC match on paper going in, but now it feels like two excellent matches and an undercard that looks only decent.
As far as the Kambi odds for the star ratings for tonight’s matches, the over/under are:
Banks vs. Fox *3/4
Asuka vs. Emma ***1/4
Kalisto vs. Enzo **
Balor vs. Styles ****1/2
TLC match ****1/4
Bliss vs. James **3/4
Kendrick & Gallagher vs. Alexander & Swann **1/2
Originally when you could bet on what would win best match for tonight, the original odds came out with Emma vs. Asuka as the favorite followed by TLC and any other match paid +350. Of course people bet on any other match (given Styles vs. Balor) and it was taken off the boards. The new odds are Balor vs. Styles as the best match favorite at -183 while any other match is +130. You can also get +400 odds if you bet that a match tonight will be five stars. Usually that’s +1500.

FIGURE FOUR WEEKLY: Looking at Neville’s potential post-WWE life
While Neville’s situation with WWE remains unresolved a week after news broke that he wanted out of the company, his potential entrance into the global pro wrestling landscape would provide the most interesting test case yet of how successful someone could be outside of WWE in this era. Neville being unhappy isn’t an isolated incident.

WON BACK ISSUE: September 25, 2000 Wrestling Observer Newsletter: WWF moving to Viacom, WCW Fall Brawl reviewed, more
The Delaware Supreme Court on 9/18 ruled 3-0 not to overturn the Chancery Court ruling that the WWF would be able to accept the Viacom deal, and thus ending its 17-year relationship with the USA Network. The decision was more than one month in the making, which left much of the entire pro wrestling industry, and both networks, paralyzed to an extent, certainly as it pertained to wrestling programming.

SUNDAY NEWS UPDATE
Bryan and I will be back tonight talking WWE TLC and the rest of today’s news. We’ve done shows the past two nights with all of the WWE issues. You can send questions to tonight’s show to [email protected].
Just want to thank everyone I met the last two nights for all the nice words about the current issue and the Bobby Heenan, the PED usage, and Hall of Fame stories.
As of last night, it didn’t look like tonight’s TLC PPV would sell out although it’ll be a good crowd. It’s possible it could sell out with a very strong walkup.
According to WWE, there is no set timetable on when Kevin Owens would return. He is out of action due to a family matter.
As far as the other wrestlers, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns and Bo Dallas, they will be reevaluated in eight days for an update. All WWE Raw talent was ordered to get shots for Measles, Mumps and Rubella on Thursday stemming from the illness that has kept the aforementioned three off tonight’s show.
We’re told Raw is supposed to be a big show on Monday in Green Bay. It’s a smaller arena so it’s expected to be the first Raw sellout in several weeks.
We’ll have a full report up later but HHH beat Rusev on today’s show in Santiago, Chile, using a pedigree for the clean finish.
Jeff Jarrett was not at the Rise of Legends War Games show last night in Edmonton. River City Wrestling said that Jarrett boarded a plane and left the country Saturday morning after working the night before in Calgary. The promotion announced this yesterday before the show and said anyone who purchased a VIP package can get a free ticket to the show in November in Edmonton as an apology and advanced ticket holders can get a November ticket for just $10. From what we understand, there was an issue when Jarrett flew in and this led to him flying back home after the first show rather than staying for the second show.
WWE
WWE WrestleMania Travel Packages are out and are very expensive. WWE is offering its most expensive at $9,175 per person to $8,525 per person for a group of two or more, which guarantees first five row tickets or Mania, Takeover, flying on a private flight with WWE legends from New York to New Orleans, and getting behind the scenes meet and greets with stars. There are a number of cheaper packages that get as low as $2,125 per person for 100 level seating at all the shows, and Axxess tickets down to $1,150 per person for a group or four.
The Miz was the Grand Marshall of the Krewe of Boo parade in New Orleans this weekend. As noted yesterday, Miz & wife Maryse are having a daughter.
Ryan Cabrera, a singer, and Avril Lavigne, who is a major name singer, posted photos dressed up as Miz and Maryse for Halloween. They posted photos and said they actually wore authentic ring outfits that Miz & Maryse had when they went to their house for a party.
We were told that Big Cass was doing Ringside Fest in New York next week and the price was dropped from $69.99 to $49.99 which is a rarity because usually on those shows, the price increases due to demand. Alexa Bliss, for example, is getting $119 for an autograph and photo combo pack which is more than Finn Balor, Braun Strowman and Cass. (thanks to Anthony Murillo)

UFC
The Anthony Hamilton vs. Craig Wieczorek fight scheduled for yesterday’s show has been moved to the Australia show due to threats of violence related to that fight in Poland. That’s a first in UFC history. There were issues where at first they didn’t have them do the public weigh-in and later for security reasons the fight was pulled off the show. The fight will now take place on 11/18 in Sydney, Australia.
The scheduled Boston Salmon vs. Raoni Barcelos fight scheduled for this coming Saturday in Sao Paulo is off due to Salmon tearing ligaments in his left knee.
