Delhi Test: Mohammed Shami Comes To The Rescue Of A Pitch Invader

Mohammed Shami entertained the crowd in Delhi as he took 4 wickets on Day 1 of the 2nd Test vs Australia but his best moment came when he came to the rescue of a pitch invader, as per TOI.

Pitch invaders are not new in international cricket but Shami stepped in when security began dragging the fan away.

A fan came on-field to reach the players but security officials were quick to intervene. But Shami told them to be lenient.

Shami led the Indian attack as Australia made 263.

Australia once again lost six wickets to spin as Ravichandran Ashwin (3/57) and Ravindra Jadeja (3/68) ran through the side.

Usman Khawaja (81) and Peter Handscomb (72 not out) helped Australia cross 250.
