Western New York’s top wrestling talent will be featured
in Fairport
Empire State Wrestling (ESW) will debut at Village Sports,
2830 Baird Road, Fairport, NY on Saturday, February 23 for “Empire State of Mind”. General admission tickets are available for $15. Front row tickets are $25. Doors open at 5 p.m. with bell-time at 6 p.m.
“Empire State of Mind” will be broadcast over live streaming service Twitch, with select matches being recorded exclusively for Powerslam.TV.
The following wrestlers are scheduled to appear at
“Empire State of Mind”:
Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star and Rochester, N.Y. native
Colin Delaney will team with former Ring of Honor (ROH) star Cheech as
“To Infinity & Beyond” against New York City’s “Private Party” in the main event
Ex-ROH talent
Cloudy will go one-on-one versus Rochester’s own Rob Sweet
The ESW debut of the Flower City’s Eric Emanon
A special appearance by “The Butcher & The Blade”: the team of current ESW Heavyweight Champion Pepper Parks and Every Time I Die guitarist Andy Williams
A plethora of ESW’s regular stars including Rochester-native “Captain” Nick Ando, Medina, N.Y.’s Gavin Glass, “The Remix” Kevin Bennett, Puf and many more
ESW promotes eight shows a year, primarily
held at the St. Johnsburg Fire Hall in North Tonawanda, N.Y., boasting crowds of over 400 fans. Larger “super show” events have been held at the Kenan Center in Lockport, N.Y. and the Frontier Fire Hall in Niagara Falls, N.Y., drawing crowds up to 1,000.
As Western New York’s premier independent
professional wrestling promotion, ESW over the years has hosted many of pro wrestling’s top up-and-comers and biggest legends. Current World Wrestling Entertainment stars Kevin Owens, Luke Harper, Matt Hardy, Goldust, Rhyno, Jinder Mahal, Curt Hawkins, Cedric
Alexander, Ruby Riott, Tye Dillinger and Tony Nese have appeared in ESW’s ring. Pro wrestling legends Kevin Nash, Brutus Beefcake, Billy Gunn, X-Pac, The Honky Tonk Man, Jim Duggan, Demolition, Raven, The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer and several others have appeared
at ESW events.
