Fashion designer John Galliano launches a sunglasses range, which is produced by Marcolin. The sunwear collection will feature various eccentric styles mixed with Galliano’s love for romance and invocation. With these sunglasses, Galliano wants to transform the face into the inspirational spirit behind shades.
For women, Galliano goes back to his Spanish heritage mixed with Flamenco influences to create ‘Les Biches’. He designed an oversized dark wrap shade, inspired by the hand fan used by flamenco dancers. For men the inspiration comes from Galliano’s favourite rebels and heroes. The ‘Beau Regard’ combines house motifs with cinematic style in a chunky plastic upper set against a fine metal lower frame, with contrasted colours.
The Icon Collection is now available exclusively at John Galliano boutique in Paris and a few selected shops worldwide.
