Lesnar Makes History as Universal Champ, Cesaro Update, Strowman

Brock Lesnar managed to win the Universal Championship from Goldberg at Wrestlemania 33 earlier this year in April. He has been able to hold on to that title for a number of months now, and he has defeated the likes of Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, and Braun Strowman in order to keep his title. As of October 8th, Lesnar made history as champion: he surpassed Kevin Owens’ record as the longest reigning Universal Champion of all time. Owens won the title last year and kept it for 188 days before losing it to Goldberg at Fast Lane. Lesnar is currently being advertised to defend the title at the upcoming Survivor Series pay-per-view in November.
Cesaro and Sheamus challenged Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins for the Raw Tag Team Championships at the No Mercy pay-per-view recently. The match was one of the most talked about aspects of the show because of a moment which saw Dean Ambrose perform a slingshot on Cesaro into the corner of the ring. This caused Cesaro’s two front teeth to be pushed into his upper jaw. In a recent video on UpUpDownDown, Cesaro provided an update on his injury. The Swiss wrestler is having difficulty with speaking, and he cannot move his facial muscles too much due to the delicate nature of the injury. Regardless, he is still actively performing in WWE.

Braun Strowman is undoubtedly one of the biggest success stories that WWE has had all year long. He has become a legitimate world title contender within the span of just a few months, and he has also become a fan-favorite on Raw. Interestingly enough, Strowman recently made a small cameo in Avenged Sevenfold’s cover of the Pink Floyd track ‘Wish You Were Here.’ It is rather interesting to see “The Monster Among Men” taking a break from his path of destruction to enjoy some music and fun. Fans can see Strowman’s appearance in the music video posted right below. He appears around the 4;47 mark.
