Man Found Shot To Death In Dublin: Police

DUBLIN, CA — A man was shot to death in Dublin Friday at the Emerald Park Apartments at 5050 Hacienda Drive in Dublin, Dublin police said.

Police were called to Hacienda Drive at around 2:21 p.m. to respond to a shooting that had just occurred. Police say they found an adult male with a fatal gunshot wound to his head. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The identity of the victim is not being released, police said. The suspect is still outstanding as of Friday afternoon, but there is no apparent threat to public safety.

Hacienda Drive and Central Parkway reopened as of 4:27 p.m., police posted on X.

Dougherty students were released about 30 minutes before police told the school to go on lockdown, DUSD spokesperson Chip Dehnert told Patch. The few students and staff who remained on-site were placed on lockdown, which was lifted at around 4 p.m. Friday.
