More Mae Young Classic Competitors Revealed, Including Kairi Hojo

A few more competitors have been revealed for the Mae Young Classic tournament, including the confirmed debut of Kairi Hojo in WWE. WWE confirmed that she and a few more names will be taking part in the tournament this August. The women are listed below, and they will be joining a litany of other talented women in the tournament. Thirteen wrestlers have been announced for the show thus far, including Lacey Evans, Sarah Logan, Abbey Laith, Alpha Female, Toni Storm, Princesa Sugehit, Kavita Devi, Taynara Conti, and Tessa Blanchard. Some of the other participants that were revealed earlier today include the following:
Dakota Kai is a New Zealand native who once held the SHIMMER Tag Team titles with NXT’s Ruby Riot. She once competed in a losing effort against Nia Jax on NXT back in 2015, but now she has joined the Mae Young Classic tournament. Formerly wrestled on the independent circuit as Evie.
Piper Niven hails from Scotland, and is currently 26-years-old. Known as Viper, she wrestled for promotions such as WCPW, SHIMMER, and ICW. She has been wrestling since 2008, and was inspired by the likes of Steve Austin and Chyna. Niven had been rumored to join the tournament for several months.

Bianca Belair recently defeated Aliyah prior to a set of NXT tapings to earn a spot in the tournament. She was a track and field expert in college, and later a crossfit enthusiast before she was signed by WWE last year. She has mostly competed on NXT live events, but she has a chance to make an impact on television during the tournament.
Kairi Sane is also joining the company at last. Sane worked as Kairi Hojo in Japan, and was a highly-acclaimed athlete during her time there. Known for her pirate-esque gimmick, and for her incredible top rope elbow drops. Worked in Japan’s Stardom promotion for six years.
