NORTH ANDOVER, MA — A police officer and a K-9 are being lauded for their actions in helping to find a missing child.
North Andover police received a call at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday reporting a 9-year-old child who had run away from home, according to Det. Lieut. Michael Davis.
Police and firefighters responded and conducted a search for the child.

Officer Sewade and his K-9 found the child around 2 a.m. near the home, hiding in a bush.
The child was reunited with family shortly thereafter, Davis said.

Police posted the following on their Facebook page:
“Great job by K-9 Officer Sewade and his partner, Neo, for locating a missing child in the middle of the night! Rain, snow or 1am, this duo is always ready to get the job done! Well done by the entire midnight shift crew to ensure the child’s safe return home.”
