SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…

Mandy Rose will defend her NXT Women’s Championship at Stand and Deliver in a fatal four-way match.

The company announced via social media that Rose would face Cora Jade, Io Shirai, and Kay Lee Ray at the WrestleMania weekend event with her title on the line.

Rose won the championship from Raquel Gonzalez at Halloween Havoc in October of 2021. Rose successfully defended her championship in a triple threat match with Gonzalez and Jade at New Year’s Evil earlier this year. Io Shirai is a former Women’s Champion and lost the title to Gonzalez at last year’s Stand and Deliver event. Kay Lee Ray is a former NXT UK Women’s Champion and held that championship for a record 649 days. Cora Jade made her debut in January of 2021. She was victorious for her team at War Games last year.

NXT Stand and Deliver will air live on Peacock in the afternoon on Saturday April 2 ahead of the first night of WrestleMania. This will be the first NXT event outside of Florida since the pandemic began two years ago. Announced matches on the card include LA Knight vs. Gunther, Carmelo Hayes vs. Santos Escobar vs. Grayson Waller vs. Solo Sikoa vs. A-Kid/Roderick Strong/Cameron Grimes in a ladder match for the North American Championship, Tommaso Ciampa vs. Tony D’Angelo, MSK vs. Imperium vs. The Creed Brothers for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, and Bron Breakker vs. Dolph Ziggler for the NXT Championship.
