Shane McMahon reportedly headed for WrestleMania 38 weekend in Dallas

Shane McMahon will reportedly be in Dallas, Texas this weekend for WrestleMania 38.

A report by PWInsider indicates that WWE is bringing Shane in for WrestleMania, but there is no word on whether or not he’ll appear on the show either night. This would mark McMahon’s first WWE involvement since parting ways with WWE after an appearance at the 2022 men’s Royal Rumble match.

McMahon returned to the company during the Royal Rumble and was reportedly scheduled to wrestle at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia and at WrestleMania. McMahon was the 28th entrant in the Royal Rumble, but was also involved in the layout and booking of the match. McMahon was said to have heat backstage due to how his role unfolded for the match. McMahon then left the company the next day.

Outside of the Royal Rumble this year, Shane’s last appearance was at last year at WrestleMania 37 in Tampa Bay, Florida. He lost to Braun Strowman in a steel cage match. At WrestleMania 35, McMahon wrestled The Miz. Other recent WrestleMania matches with Shane McMahon include against The Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania 32 and against A.J. Styles at WrestleMania 33.

WrestleMania 38 streams live on Peacock on Saturday April 2 and Sunday April 3. Matches on the card include Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship, Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship, Johnny Knoxville vs. Sami Zayn, Austin Theory vs. Pat McAfee, A.J. Styles vs. Edge, Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, and a special KO Show with Kevin Owens and the returning “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
