The new Universal Champion will not be defending the title anytime soon. Neither WWE nor the SAP Center in San Jose, California, are advertising Brock Lesnar for the upcoming Raw-exclusive Payback show. Also, Brock is not being advertised to appear on any upcoming episodes of Raw for the foreseeable future,
A new promotional video for the pay-per-view which featured Lesnar fueled speculation that he could be defending the title at the event. However, that does not seem like the plan at the moment, WWE is about to embark on their annual post-Wrestlemania Europen tour. It is highly unlikely that Lesnar will be part of the tour, which has become notable for its rigorous travel schedule.
Last night’s Raw featured Brock’s advocate, Paul Heyman, calling out Roman Reigns but instead ending up in a confrontation with Braun Strowman. Despite the tease for the feud, it is not being advertised for any upcoming events. Strowman is scheduled to resume feuding with Roman Reigns for the foreseeable future.
With Reigns vs. Lesnar rumored to main event Wrestlemania 34 next year in New Orleans, Louisiana, it should be interesting to see what Lesnar will do as champion in the meantime,
