TOLLAND, CT — Tuesday’s winter weather certainly wreaked havoc on a notorious stretch of Interstate 84 in Tolland.
The section of highway between exits 67 and 68 is know for a propensity for crashed because of its hills and subsequent fluctuating speeds. Add snow and ice and the highway turned into a mess of multiple crashes Tuesday, fire chief and public safety director John Littell said.
In all, there were six. The crashes Tuesday included:

Littell said no major injuries were reported all day.
Wednesday started with a medical cal that at first involved a potential airlift, but the helicopter was called off and a person was transported to an area hospital, Littell said
