SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Southwest Minnesota State senior heavyweight Cole Wilson finished the opening day of the NCAA Championships with a 2-1 record and also garnered All-American honors.

Wilson, who has finished with a 1-2 record at both the 2014 and 2015 NCAA championships, now has 104 career victories—tied for sixth in team history.
The top eight in each class earn NCAA All-American honors. SMSU’s last All-American was last season, when Jacob Begin finished fourth. SMSU has recorded 12 NCAA All-Americans, including one national champion, since moving to Division II in 1996.
