11 Kinds Of People Everybody Is Guilty Of Looking Up On Facebook

We can all safely admit that while scrolling through Facebook, we have looked up (or stalked, if you may) someone or the other, whether they belonged to our past or present. If you are guilty of doing this, so are we. It’s perfectly normal to be curious about people we haven’t seen in a long time or have just met.

Here’s a list of 11 people we all have looked up on Facebook.

1. Childhood friends

Friends we make as children do stick around for life, but there are still some who move away to faraway lands. And those are the ones we miss the most. We always wish them well and always look them up on Facebook to connect with them.

2. First boyfriend/girlfriend

Ah, first love. Even though it didn’t sail through the test of time, it remains closest to our hearts. The memory of being in love for the first time ever is what keeps us hitting the search button on that special someone. Sometimes, they even become our friends.

Because they held a special place in our lives and we want to know how they are doing. Or, we hate them so much that it’s not enough in itself and we must look them up to curse at their photos.

And then there are those who never so much as looked at us when our hearts threatened to fail just at a mere sight of them! Even though looking them up on Facebook brings bittersweet memories, we always smile seeing them happy.

    5. The ex’s new flame

Looking up our ex’s new flame literally borders on stalking but we have all done it. Because curiosity peppered with jealousy is a combo we can rarely avoid.

    6. Classmates who moved schools

We have all had classmates who moved school. While someone’s departure made us happy, others didn’t affect us at all. But as soon as a name pops up in our heads, we find ourselves searching it on Facebook, trying to put the adult face to the young one, making sense of how the hell time flew so fast.

    7. Best friend’s new boyfriend/girlfriend

We must not be stupid in love and since our best friend refuses to see past their love haze, we must act with caution. That or just cruising this person’s profile to see if they are the one for our besties.

    8. New roommate

Okay, this has to be the most legit search on Facebook, for how else would we find out about a complete stranger we are about to share a home with? And a kitchen with? And probably a toilet with? No, the searching stops only when we have the pros-and-cons list in place.

    9. Cousins we forgot about

Or didn’t know existed. They are next to being complete strangers for us. But since we do have some remembrance of meeting their parents, we wish to find out everything about their life. More often than not, we end up hating ourselves if by chance their life is more happening than ours.

    10. The new person at work

We won’t rest until we have all the information on his/her educational background and work experience. After we have scrolled through their photo albums, music choices, Facebook posts, friend tags, and relationship statuses.

    11. Mark Zuckerberg

The one guy who brought us on this cursed platform that won’t let us live in peace. The one whose flawed concept of connecting people ended up leaking our private information. The one guy we can’t stop stalking because we still love him and he has cute babies.
