For as long as social stereotypes persist, we will keep writing about women who break them. These women defy the ‘things girls can’t do’ code in the most badass way, and we’re proud of them.

Here, meet the two brave women who have covered the much-touted South-North route from Kanyakumari to Leh in just 129 hours.
Amrutha Kashinath and Shubra Acharya are defining new goals for bikers across the country. On their motorcycles, these women embarked on an expedition that has set some new benchmarks for bikers. Their names are now successfully registered in the ‘Limca Book of Records’.

Amrutha reveals that she never intended to achieve this title, it just happened. Together, they just wanted to complete the journey in a limited time frame.
“We have covered around 2 lakh km around the country. Then we covered Bhutan and Sri Lanka. This year we are going to Mongolia,” said Amrutha, reports Happy Trips.
Both the women are extensive travellers and have covered various parts of the country. They were well prepared and familiar with the challenges that they might face while on the trip. But what troubled the two the most was sleeping hours. Amrutha says that it was extremely taxing to manage 5 hours of sleep, given that they had such a tight schedule.
Might we just say? You’re doing a kickass job, ladies! More power to you.
