Taapsee Pannu is one actress we absolutely love. She won our hearts in the film Pink and now, she did something beyond amazing and we are so proud of her.
We all achieve so much in life and become successful, but we also forget how we started our journey. But clearly, Taapsee remembers her roots. She wrote a beautiful letter to her school principal and it’s just so heartwarming. More importantly, the intent behind her letter was to encourage self-defence in her school. She even wrote a similar letter to her college to introduce the practice of self-defence for young girls and women. The actress completed her schooling from Mata Jai Kaur Public School in Delhi and her graduate degree from Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology.
Here’s the letter:

“Our educational system should indulge students in a compulsory practice of self-defence. Behind books and projects, it is an individual who is prepping for what’s to come in life. With the changing times and how fast we are supposed to grow up to meet the outside world, to stay cautious, it is necessary for learning proper knacks of self-defence right from the beginning”, she said in her letter and we couldn’t agree more.

Being a celebrity, who influences so many young Indians, Taapsee has yet again proved that not only is she a great actress, but also someone who wants to bring about a change in the society. If all schools implement self-defence as a regular practice, every woman in this country will soon know how to fight her own battles.
More power to you, Taapsee. A big thank you from girls all over the world.
