PAUL O’CONNELL HAS returned to the Munster set-up in a part-time role.
The former captain will act in an advisory role to the Munster academy with immediate effect.
The role, which he will hold for a year, will see O’Connell act as a mentor to the younger players by providing what Munster say will be “invaluable rugby technical expertise and advice, while guiding them in the areas of rugby development, preparation and best practice.”
CEO Garrett Fitzgerald said today:
O’Connell was capped 178 times by Munster winning two European Cups, three Pro12 titles and a Celtic Cup in 2005.
