Couple Robbed At Gunpoint In Stoney Creek Promenade Parking Lot

OAK LAWN, POLICE — Oak Lawn police are asking for the public’s help in providing details about an armed robbery that took place in the Stoney Creek Promenade parking lot Friday evening.

Around 8:20 a.m., officers responded to an armed robbery that had just occurred at the Stoney Creek Promenade parking lot at 111th Street and Cicero Avenue.

A married couple walked back to their car when they were accosted by two men armed with handguns. The pair, described as black males dressed in dark clothing, pointed handguns at the couple and demanded their belongings, police said.

The two men were last seen entering a waiting dark colored sedan, possibly a brown Toyota Camry, that was occupied by two more people. The vehicle with the two suspects fled eastbound through the parking lot. The couple was not injured.
