Hitachi ZX130-7, ZX160LC-7 Excavators
Updated to Zaxis-7 platform
ZX130-7 and ZX160LC-7 Hitachi excavators have been updated with the HIOS IV hydraulic system and various cab improvements.
The Hitachi ZX130-7 has an operating weight of 30,870 pounds; max dig depth of 19 feet 9 inches; and bucket breakout force of 23,380 pounds. It is powered by a 100-horsepower Isuzu engine.
The Hitachi ZX160LC-7 weighs 39,463 pounds; has a max dig depth of 21 feet 4 inches; and bucket breakout force is 25,179. It is powered by a 132-horsepower Yanmar engine.
The hydraulic system increases fuel efficiency by minimizing hydraulic loss during operation. The ZX130-7 and ZX160LC-7 feature adjustable attachment, arm, and swing priority through the monitor to match machine performance with an attachment.
Cabs on both machines are larger than predecessors. They have dual adjustable seat and console, low-effort pilot controls, and switches have been collectively installed on the right side. An 8-inch monitor has been added, with an attachment preset system that allows operators to enter flow rates and pressures for up to 16 attachments. Four fluid-filled elastic mounts reduce cab vibration.
Aerial Angle peripheral vision camera system provides a 270-degree bird’s-eye view. The operator can select five different viewing screens on the monitor, and a rear-view camera provides a view right below the counterweight.
Both Zaxis-7 excavators have a strengthened boom end and foot, and the bushings are installed in the brackets. An anti-mud-compaction roller design helps protect oil seals from mud, and both upper and lower rollers have improved idler sealing.
