Roddick: 'Federer, Nadal, Djokovic are different than Sampras, Becker'

believes there is a lot of variety in tennis or at least more than the past. Several times criticized todays tennis for seeing just big servers and not looking at tactics anymore, but in an interview to LeBalard Show Roddick said: I remember in the mid 90s you would talk about Sampras and he is even a bitch in the tail end of Becker and I thought there were way more big servers back then.

If you look at the guys who will become some of the best three players of all time, none of them are really big servers, they actually play long points with Novak, Rafa and Roger. So I feel like what used to be the norm is now like in a bit of outliner with the guys.

Roddick also commented on how it feels to face . Against the 33-year-old, sets often end in tie-breakers. Its weird because you play long but the points dont last longer than two shots ever.

Itd be like if you are in baseball, if you just walk from the warm-up, youd be on deck circle, took three pitches and then walk back it. It would not be bad. Praising Serenas longevity, Roddick added: Its just insane to see this girl that used to play on the court next to all the time and people kind of see Serena and she is psyothic figure and can create attention but seeing her nine, ten years old practicing eight, ten hours a day its just amazing to see where she has gone in the world of sports.

She is on the Mount Rushmore of sporting figures in this country and globally. ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: Worse players than David Ferrer won a Grand Slam title
