Milos Raonic: 'I tried to focus on me, not Nick Kyrgios'

dealt with a knee injury for the entire second round match played against at the Australian Open, and the Canadian was good enough to win the encounter in straight sets and book a third-round meeting with Stan Wawrinka.

In a press conference, Raonic explained how he managed to be consistently focused on what he had to do in order to go through. I think I have to stay calm all the time, Raonic said. I dont think it matters if its Nick.

Im not going to be the guy putting on the theatrics too much on the court. Im going to be trying to do my things well, be efficient with them. Obviously, with him, you try to sort of put out everything else thats going on the other side of the net, focus on what you need to do.

Raonic also spoke about the fact that in tennis everything depends on the player: You have an idea of what you should do, and over the years you try to adjust that to figure out whats best for you. I dont know if Ive necessarily figured out the exact formula for me.

But I think thats the part youre always trying to figure out. I guess to some extent it would be much easier if someone told me where I have to play, where I have to be if I didnt have to think about it too much.

Im constantly trying to figure out the way I can give myself the best chance to play healthy, play week in and week out. ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: Worse players than David Ferrer won a Grand Slam title
