Arn Anderson has been quietly released from his contract with WWE, where he has worked as a producer or road agent since returning to the company in 2001. Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet first broke the news early Friday morning.
Anderson, 60, was one of WWE’s longest tenured employees, putting in a very small group of long-running veterans including Michael Cole, William Regal, Mark Henry, John Laurinaitis, Michael Hayes, Kevin Dunne and a select few others who have worked there for nearly two decades or more, as well as Triple H and of course the McMahon family itself.
While details of Anderson’s departure are very limited at this point, the timing is likely not a coincidence that WWE recently took on a host of new producers, including Jeff Jarrett, Joseph Parks (aka Abyss), Sonjay Dutt, Shawn Daivari, and Shane “Hurricane” Helms.
