WWE Champion, AJ Styles recently spoke with Cultaholic at the WWE 2K19 Press Event where he talked about being the cover star for this year. Below are some highlights and you can check out the full interview in the video player above.
On athletes being smaller:
“I think that we are moving in a new direction, athletes are smaller these days, in everything, in American Football, Rugby, guys are not as big but they are faster and quicker. That’s not a bad thing, it’s a good thing for me. At some point, people looked at me and thought I was just too small, I’m not the biggest guy so I make everything I do count.”
Being the cover star for WWE 2K19:
“It’s one of those things, I just want to enjoy this, being on the cover of WWE 2K19, that’s a big deal for me. The truth is, it’s never say never on the cover, who would have thought that AJ Styles would be the longest reigning champion and is on the cover of this game. Years ago, I wouldn’t have picked me, I never saw it coming.”
Who is the next AJ Styles:
“I think there is a lot of guys in the Performance Center who can be whoever they want to be, they don’t have to be the next AJ Styles, there is some younger talent coming up that really have the ability do something different.”
