Andre Agassi: It’s going great with Grigor Dimitrov

Former Australian Open Champion and World No.1 Andre Agassi is coaching Grigor Dimitrov and the American is happy with the way the two are functioning. Its going great, the eight-time Grand Slam champion smiled.

I couldnt be more thrilled with who he is as a person and how close weve sort of become so quickly. In my estimation theres three clear parts of tennis: Theres when youre in control, theres neutral and then theres defence.

He further added, When he used to be in control, he did it with risk, when he was in neutral he was quickly falling behind, and when he was behind he didnt have a lot of transition, he just had a lot of horsepower.

If you can do the dance between those three parts and play to your strengths and use your speed in an offensive, proactive, controlled way its a big difference. You have to work too hard if you dont do it smartly, right? If you work to hard its hard to do it match after match its kind of cumulative.

My hope is he can do it a lot easier for a lot longer. He also spoke about Novak Djokovic, Im thrilled to see him doing it, hes somebody I I root for him, too. I was convinced when we started he would win two a year for the next three or four years and hes certainly on pace for that!.
