According to ESPN, the two-time heavyweight champion is scheduled to compete for AAA’s upcoming show at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater on September 15, and on October 13 at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Velasquez made his debut under a lucha mask at Triplemania in a major way, teaming with Cody Rhodes and Psycho Clown, one of the biggest babyfaces in Mexico, in a six-man tag team match against Killer Kross, Black Taurus and Texano Jr.
The 37-year-old MMA icon impressed with some serious in-ring ability, snapping off headscissors takedowns, flying armbars and all kinds of maneuvers, more than holding his own.
