Dwayne Johnson On Leno & Kimmel, Booker T Talks About WWE Pulling Talent, Flair

— After hosting Saturday Night Live this past weekend, former WWE star and Hollywood heavyweight Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be all over New York City this week doing the media rounds for “Witch Mountain”, which hits theaters on Friday. Johnson will be appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (NBC) on Thursday night and Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC) on Friday night.

— The Charleston Post-Courier features some comments from WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair about whether he would ever return to the ring. Flair repeats what he’s said in several recent interviews, which is that he wouldn’t wrestle another match without Shawn Michaels’ blessing and does not want to tarnish the memory of his retirement match at last year’s WrestleMania. He said doesn’t miss wrestling as much as he misses being around the wrestlers.

— The Miami Herald posted an article today with comments from Booker T, who talks about the controversy surrounding WWE pulling talent from his Legends of Wrestling Fanfest over Wrestlemania weekend in Houston, Texas. The TNA Legends champion says, “Ron Simmons is still within his 90 days, and they told him he can’t do it. Torrie Wilson is involved in a match at WrestleMania, so they thought it was a conflict of interest. I don’t know how. Nick Bockwinkel hasn’t had anything with WWE for quite some time, and all of a sudden he’s doing something. Tito Santana has pulled out as well. ‘I was surprised more than anything because it is for charity. I don’t think that PWA is riding the coattails of WWE. This is the city of Houston. A city I’ve grown up in. I really think we’re taking the high road on this. We’re not trying to bash anybody or beat anybody up. Hopefully, we’ll get a donation from WWE for our foundation. Hopefully, they will give money to the foundation and try to do damage control.”
