VENICE, CA — A fire broke out at a three-story “boardwalk-style” home in Venice Wednesday afternoon, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Nicholas Prange.
Firefighters reported smoke showing at the home at 4815 S Roma Ct. at 5:05 p.m. and were on offensive mode to battle the blaze, Prange said. According to Prange, the fire was mostly contained to the attic of the home.
“Firefighters took care to protect belongings below before applying water to the flames above,” Prange said.

Prange said it took 26 firefighters 24 minutes to extinguish the fire at the 4,601 square-foot home built in 1985 in the Silver Strand tract. No residents or LAFD personnel were injured in the blaze, Prange said.
LAFD officials said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
