Garbine Muguruza and Caroline Garcia are the Top Seeds in Thailand Open

Tennis – Former World No. 1 , of Spain, is the top seed at this weeks Toyota Thailand Open in Hua Hin, followed by Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, Taipeis Su-Wei Hsieh and Chinas Saisai Zhang.

This is the first WTA Tour level event in Thailand in four years. Muguruza will play the former Wimbledon finalist Sabine Lisicki, now ranked No. 197 in the world, in the first round with the German getting a wild card into the main draw and she is slated to meet eighth seed Dayana Yastremska in the quarter-finals.

Garcia, who also entered the tournament late through a wild card, meet a qualifier in the first round with a meeting against fellow Frenchwoman Pauline Parmentier slated in the last eight. Hsieh will meet Romanias Monica Niculescu in the first round in what should be an interesting battle of slices and could meet Chinas Shuai Zhang, seeded no.
