Homicide Investigation Underway As 2 More Found Dead In Santee Home

SANTEE, CA — Two elderly adults were found dead in their home Tuesday at a senior living facility in Santee, authorities said.

A man and woman were found dead around 11:05 a.m. inside their home in the 300 block of Lantern Way, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Both the man and woman appeared to have head trauma, sheriff’s Lt. Michael Krugh said.

Their names were withheld pending family notification.

“Sheriff’s homicide investigators are working to gather more information to determine the circumstances of these deaths,” Krugh said. “There (is) no outstanding suspect and no danger to the community. The investigation is ongoing.”

An elderly married couple died in a murder-suicide over Memorial Day weekend at the same senior living facility.

“It is the same place,” Krugh confirmed to Patch.

The man and woman who died in May were identified as 82-year-old David Soulner and his wife, 79-year-old Claire Soulner. David Soulner was identified as the only suspect in the deaths, Krugh said.
