Hunt Continues For Teen Murder Suspect After Escape from CHOP: Latest

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The manhunt for the teenaged boy charged with murder who escaped from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia has entered its second day.

Shane Pryor, 17, has not been seen since he ran from CHOP’s emergency room parking lot on 34th and Spruce streets minutes before noon on Wednesday. It is not clear exactly how he escaped custody.

It was initially believed that he was driving a stolen Ford F-150 with the Pennsylvania license plate ZTS-0503, U.S. Marshals said late Wednesday. However, they now believe he “obtained transportation” out of the city.

He was last seen wearing blue sweatpants and a blue sweatshirt, with socks and flip-flops. Police said he may have taken off the blue sweatshirt and may be in a blue T-shirt.

Pryor was charged as an adult in a 2020 killing and was awaiting his next trial date, court documents show. He was 14 years old at the time of that incident.

Pryor should be considered dangerous. If you see him, call 911 immediately. If you have any other information, call police at 1-877-WANTED-2.
