Sunday night’s WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view saw Asuka and Kairi Sane defeat the unlikely duo of Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships for the first time.
While the now-former champs looked to have the victory secured, Asuka pulled out her ace in the hole by catching Cross with poison mist. This is her second title win on the main roster, in addition to a reign as Smackdown Women’s Champion, while this is Sane’s first title win on the main roster. Both women are former NXT Women’s Champions.
