#KawhiWatch may be nearing its end.
Former NFL star Cris Carter, whose former agent Mitch Frankel represents Kawhi Leonard, said on Fox Sports 1 on Thursday morning that Leonard will make his free-agency announcement on Friday.
“And that hasn’t changed from what we talked about this weekend, what we talked about Sunday before free agency opened,” Carter said on “First Things First.”
The Raptors, Lakers and Clippers are all still in the sweepstakes, according to Carter.
Leonard’s plan, Carter said, was to start his meetings on Monday with the Lakers and Clippers, then move on to the Knicks and Nets before finishing with the Raptors. Brooklyn, of course, was taken out of the running when they agreed to deals with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Tread lightly. That seems to be the message Kawhi Leonard…
As The Post reported, the Knicks backed out of a meeting with Leonard, knowing they were unlikely to land him and needing to sign other players before other teams scooped them up. The Raptors were always going to get the last meeting.
“We are on what their scheduled plan was,” Carter said. “Kawhi makes a lot of decisions based on trust. Why do I have the information? Because they trust me, because I’ve been knowing Kawhi since he left San Diego State and decided to come into the NBA. They trust how I’ve reported it and they trust that I’m gonna get it accurate to what they say, not what my opinion is.

“Toronto has that over everyone — the doctors, the coaching staff, the city. He’s comfortable. Kawhi trusts his career with the Toronto Raptors, and the Lakers and the Clippers are gonna have to convince him and take some of that trust for him to decide to play basketball with them moving forward.”
