“This team is top ranked in the Girls Academy League,” Asli told Patch. The team’s performance at the state level led to their advancement to represent Illinois for the national championships.

Madison and her team just returned from California earlier this week, where the team collected one win and two draws at the national championships.

While the team did not advance to the finals, the girls finished first place in the Girls Academy Midwest conference and were the United States Youth Soccer Midwest Conference Champs this season.

Asli said the Madison is now officially in the “off season,” but the busy soccer player begins training again soon.
