Marin Cilic doubtful that Federer, Djokovic, Nadal dominance will end soon

feels ready to get to the top of tennis in the coming years. The Croatian player didnt have his best start to the season withdrawing from the Pune Open and losing to Roberto Bautista Agut in the Australian Open fourth round, but the 30-year-old is confident about his chances to compete against the best guys.

In tennis you have the strongest, Novak (Djokovic), Roger (Federer), Rafa (Nadal), (Andy) Murray, (Stan) Wawrinka, then there is (Juan Martin) del Potro, and then there is me. There a lot of tennis players who work a lot and that are always there to contend for titles, improving their game.

So for the youngest guys its difficult to breakthrough at that level, so I do not know when there will be a changing of the guard, said Cilic. Alexander Zverev has been in the top 5 for a while, his last three seasons have been very good.

But Federer is 37 years old and he is still almost at his best, then it will be interesting to see how much Novak will stay at the top, the same for Rafa and me too. If I think about the next two or three years, I have my best years of my career.

Now there is not too much difference between my ups and down. My goal is to stay in the top five, and go forward in all the most important tournaments. These are high expectations but I know that I am able to do it, and what I am trying to do is to increase my consistency from one week to the other.
