2003 Wimbledon finalist feels confident about chances to win a Grand Slam title again. The Swiss suffered three tough losses in Majors since Wimbledon, against Kevin Anderson, John Millman and Stefanos Tsitsipas, but Philippoussis believes that he will soon be a contender to win a Grand Slam.
People are panicking, they said the same thing and then all of a sudden he won some Slams again. Hes moving well, he doesnt seem to have any problems physically, said Philippoussis as quoted by Metro.
He looks as hungry as ever. He didnt play a terrible match, he came up against a guy who was just too good and stepped up when he had to. Last few years hes won here and takes some time off in the clay-court season so maybe things might be a little bit different for him this year as far as preparation.
For him, its just about the Grand Slams, right? Im sure hell be thinking about trying to be ready and be physical and mental shape at his peak for Wimbledon. Thats his focus. I wouldnt put it out my mind to say hes got another Grand Slam in him thats for sure.
Do I feel like he can win one more Slam? Yeah. And then all of a sudden that one more can become one more maybe. I definitely think he can win one more Slam, absolutely. ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: Worse players than David Ferrer won a Grand Slam title
