– As Daniel reported earlier, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the Big Show is not planned to be a surprise entrant in tonight’s 30 Man Royal Rumble match. While it has not been confirmed his re-debut may have been delayed due to an ankle injury that he is currently suffering from. Nonetheless as Daniel reported, his return is imminent.
– In somewhat of a final update, there is still no official word on who will win the Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy match at tonight’s event for the WWE Championship. While a Hardy win would force a long-term storyline change, it is not completely unlikely that a title change will take place.
– New WWE announcer Mike Adamle is backstage at tonight’s pay-per-view. As we reported earlier this weekend, he will make his debut on tonight’s broadcast.
– With tonight being JBL’s first pay-per-view match back and Chris Jericho working only his second pay-per-view match back in WWE it is very likely that their match will end with a disputed finish.
– As of last word, Edge was scheduled to retain the World Heavyweight Championship tonight against Rey Mysterio.
