We’ve got some great news as it pertains to New Japan Pro Wrestling’s upcoming premiere event, Wrestle Kingdom 13, which will emanate from the Tokyo Dome as it does every year, on January 4th.
According to a report from PWInsider.com, this year’s massive event – which is expected to run over five hours long – will be broadcast worldwide with English commentary, live on FITE TV!
For the first time since Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force brought the event to U.S. pay-per-view at Wrestle Kingdom 9, fans without New Japan World subscriptions and from every corner of the globe will be able to witness one of the most highly anticipated wrestling events of the entire year.
The pay-per-view kicks off at 3AM ET and is expected to cost $35, which is about average with typical Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling pay-per-view events.
The show will be headlined by Kenny Omega defending the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in the Tokyo Dome for the very first time in a major clash of styles and ideology, as he faces the Ace of New Japan, Hiroshi Tanahashi, in what may be his final Wrestle Kingdom main event.
Chris Jericho will also battle Tetsuya Naito in a rematch from their brutal Dominion title bout, where Y2J shockingly captured the IWGP Intercontinental Championship. Plus, “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada seeks revenge against “Switchblade” Jay White for splitting apart his CHAOS faction from the inside, while also lookinig to bounce back from the loss of his historic title reign earlier this year.
