Novak Djokovic is more explosive than Roger Federer, says Todd Martin

believes that there are some similarities between and in terms of tennis game. Speaking to Sport Klub, Martin said: I do not see why Novak should stop playing if he is at this level.

Novak is the closest to Roger: he is light and elegant, not as elegant as Roger, but he is more explosive. I look at Novak and I think he should be confident that he can compete at the highest level for a long time. I would not want to speculate about how many Grand Slams he can win, its not worth.

On the Australian Open favorites, Martin added: I think that Rafa is going very well, but historically Novak always did well with Nadal. Novak is too good and opponents do not have chances against him if you do not win the point quickly.

Guys like Raonic, that kind of players are needed. Who is the new player who can win a Major in the next future? I would say Zverev is the first on the list. After him, I am not sure that is one of the youngest players, someone more experienced like Raonic, Nishikori or Dimitrov.

What does Martin think about all the changes happening now? I think changes are necessary in life, so they are right in tennis too. Improvements on court like a shot clock are a great thing. However, I think in tennis we should work better and all the different team competitions indicate that we do not have the same goals.
