Party Without A Care In The World. Former Tesla Engineer Produces A Hangover Remedy

Sisun Lee, gave up his job as an engineer at Tesla, after his cure for a hangover got a huge positive response.

One year ago, Lee went to his native country of South Korea, where he partied like the locals do. Obviously, that involved a lot of drinking and getting drunk. But in South Korea, there is a special drink that helps you evade a hangover the next day.

The then 26-year-old wanted to get this drink back to the US, but imports were proving to be too cumbersome. The South Korean company of this particular drink wouldn’t make a strange man sitting in the States a distributor either. So Lee decided to put his nanotechnology/biotech engineering skills to the test and reproduce the drink.

He began researching ingredients and processes when he came across the work of Dr Jing Liang, a researcher at UCLA with published papers on herbal remedies for hangovers.

Dr Liang’s research led Lee to a herbal compound called dihydromyricetin (DHM), which is found in Asian raisin trees and rattan tea.

Lee got his friends on board to test the drink and got drunk many a number of times. The drink seemed to work. He then started sampling the drink to strangers and holding question and answer sessions online.

Now his start-up, ‘Morning Recovery’ is just days away from the opening where his FDA approved hangover remedy will be sold.
