Rafael Nadal: 'I stay up until 2:00 AM to watch Tiger Woods play'

is a close fan. The Spaniard attended a tournament played by the American golfer at The Bahamas in December 2017, when he was trying to make a comeback to tennis after dealing with injuries.

Asked if seeing Woods live inspired him to play at the highest level again, Nadal replied: I went through that process before that. Is not new that Tiger is one of the sportsmen that I admire the most. I stay until 2 in the evening if hes playing always at home.

I follow him every tournament that he plays. I love his attitude on the course. In some way, yes, hes an inspiration. After all the things that happened to him, hes able to fight back, hes able to win again, is able to put him in a position that he can win majors again.

Thats fantastic I think for the sport. Thats a great history. As a sportsman, hes one of the best that I saw in my life, and in a sport that I like a lot. So I just feel very lucky that I am having the chance to keep see him competing that well.
