Roger Federer: 'You get rewarded playing aggressive tennis'

In an interview to Eurosport commented on this years Australian Open court condition and balls. Balls get fluffy, its definitely different than last year, the courts play here a little bit slower than in Perth at the Hopman Cup so for me there is a minor adjustment to be made, the spin doesnt take off like crazy so I do believe the flatter shot has maybe a bit more impact and then after six strong service games from each guy you then played maybe fluffy balls, then its fast again, said Federer in a chat to Mats Wilander and Barbara Schett following his win over .

So at night its gonna be a bit more of a test and its gonna feel heavier than maybe in the past years, I am not sure, but I do believe you get rewarded playing aggressive tennis. I would like to play an offensive tennis for sure.

On his win over Evans, Federer added: It was close, it was interesting. I enjoyed the match, there was a lot of slice going on and on the slice its very interesting, you always have to move your legs very well and if you dont do that you will hit frame shots or if you are not committed coming forward you will pay the price.

Its like a cat and mouse game, so thats why I really enjoyed the match because it felt like old school and I did not play a bad match either myself so it was just key for me to at least win the first two, preferably the first one and I think after that I was a bit more relaxed.
