‘Shawskank’ again denied parole for role in notorious Dannemora jail break

There’s no redemption yet for the so-called “Shawskank.”

A state parole board announced Thursday that it has again decided not to release Joyce Mitchell — the prison tailor who earned the tabloid moniker for getting way too friendly with the two murderers she notoriously helped escape from the maximum-security state prison in upstate Dannemora.

Mitchell, 55, who is held at Bedford Hills, can reapply for parole in two years.

It’s the third time she’s been denied parole since being sentenced to two and a third to seven years in prison in September 2015.

“Next appearance date, 06/2021,” the Board of Parole said in a statement that did not elaborate on the decision.

Mitchell admittedly provided hacksaw blades and other tools to cop-killer David Sweat, 38, and murderer Richard Matt, 49.

Mitchell was portrayed by Patricia Arquette in the 2018 Showtime series “Escape at Dannemora.” In a pair of interviews with The Post, she vehemently denied ever having sex with the two inmates she helped escape, contrary to how the series portrayed her.

But series producer Ben Stiller insisted that the well-researched series relied on police reports, interviews and evidence in drawing that conclusion.

Sweat is in Auburn Correctional Facility serving a life sentence.

He and Matt infamously broke out of Clinton Correctional Facility in 2015, spending three weeks on the run. Matt was shot and killed by law enforcement in Malone, New York.
