Smackdown Rating: Best rating in over three months, but barely, and no evidence of a Raw Reunion bump, year-ago comparisons

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)…

Last night’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live drew a 1.56 rating, virtually even with the previous week’s 1.55 rating. Viewership was up 40,000 from last week, drawing 2.162 million viewers. If WWE was hoping for a post-Raw Reunion show bump for Smackdown, they didn’t get it, which doesn’t bode well for a bump for Raw next week, either.

That said, 1.56 was the highest rating since Apr. 16. One year ago, Smackdown drew a 1.64 rating. Two years ago, Smackdown drew a 1.73 rating.

The 2019 average so far for Smackdown is 1.51, down from the year-ago average through this week of 1.72.

The ten week rolling average is 1.45.

Smackdown finished atop all cable shows on Tuesday night among the key 18-49 demographic, drawing a 0.7 rating, edging “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” which drew a 0.6 rating.
