Bernard Tomic has denied threatening Lleyton Hewitt and his family, calling the Australian Davis Cup captain a liar following Hewitts claims of physical threats and blackmail by Tomic. I have never threatened his family, the Herald Sun quoted Tomic as saying on Friday.
Nice, Lleyton. To think how low of a person you actually [are] and [its] why the Australian public never liked you. I got nothing to do with your family and I dont care whats wrong with you, you liar.
Earlier, Hewitt spoke about this incident, saying, From me it was probably the abuse I copped, Hewitt said. In the end I drew a line in the sand. He wont play Davis Cup while I have anything to do with it.
I just think threats that Ive received for me and my family that Ive had for a year and a half now I dont think that anyone would reach out to a person that speaks like that. Times are rough for Australian Tennis with these allegations within Australian mens tennis overshadowing the home countrys achievements on court and it is showing no sign of dying down yet.
It all started after a first-round loss for Bernard Tomic, who accused Hewitt of favouring some players over others and said -one wanted him as Davis Cup captain. Roger Federer explains how new racket helped him to beat Nadal
