Dean Ambrose has wrestled his last match in a WWE ring… for now.
While the Lunatic Fringe didn’t make an appearance this Sunday at WrestleMania, the former world champion did turn up on Monday Night Raw this evening to compete in what was billed as his final match with the company; a losing effort to the All-Mighty Bobby Lashley.
After Raw went off the air, WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns called Ambrose down to the ring for one last gathering of The Shield.
Things got emotional pretty quickly, as the international crowd at the Barclays Center pleaded with him not to leave. Ambrose then put over Rollins for stomping Brock Lesnar out of WWE and winning the world title, and Reigns for “kicking the s**t out of cancer” and returning to the ring.
