Every Wednesday, All Elite Wrestling drops updated rankings for their men’s, women’s and tag team divisions.
As of February 19th, the #1 contender to the world title Jon Moxley sits atop the men’s division with an undefeated 5-0 record in 2020, making him the most active star on the roster so far this year.
Kenny Omega still has yet to wrestle on 1-on-1 match this side of the decade, but apparently a combination of just being Omega and his 4-0 record in tag team wrestling is enough to keep him in the #4 spot, just ahead of the 2-0 MJF.
With her big title victory last week, Nyla Rose moves into the role as champion, while the 3-1 Riho takes up the #1 spot on the rankings. Kris Statlander picked up a win on DARK this week, moving her to #2 at just 1-1.
The tag team division is… interesting. The Young Bucks currently sit at #1 in the ranks despite one of their wins coming over the makeshift duo of Peter Avalon and QT Marshall, on DARK of all places.
That’s not a shot at them, except to make the point that MJF has wins over Jungle Boy and Joey Janela, both way more “over” and relevant to the AEW landscape, and yet he can’t get a break over a guy who hasn’t wrestled a singles match on Dynamite since November.
The Lucha Bros. are sitting at #5 in the division, despite the fact that they’ll be challenging for the tag team titles this evening. The rest of the tag teams, placement be damned, will be competing in a battle royal to determine the next challenger. Yes, these rankings were supposed to help determine – you know what, never mind.
