Fashion designer Vera Wang’s former penthouse at 35 E. 63rd St. is back on the market as a $60,000-a-month rental — down from its $65,000 asking price in May.
Wang lived there from 2015 to 2017, while she was waiting for the renovation of her apartment at tony 740 Park Ave. to be completed, as Gimme Shelter reported at the time.
Members of the Sackler family were also interested in the penthouse last year, sources say, before they were “run out of town” when their name became synonymous with the ongoing opioid crisis. (Their family company, Purdue Pharma, manufactures the highly addictive painkiller OxyContin.)
The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom duplex is 6,312 square feet and comes with 4,000 square feet of private outdoor space. It features wide-plank hardwood floors, tall ceilings, a formal dining room, a modern chef’s kitchen, a library and a study.
The outdoor space also features a kitchen, a grill, a dining area and a hot tub.

The penthouse is in a 60-foot-wide, 30,000-square-foot mansion with seven units, a doorman/concierge and two elevators.
The listing broker is Rory Nichols, of Compass.
