Greetings. Heat comes to us from Birmingham, England this week. Before we start proceedings we get a recap highlighting Shawn Michaels’ return to Raw two weeks back. Speaking of Raw, Andy Simmonz did a great sell job at the hands of Umaga this past Monday. He has a bright future. Finally farewell Heat Main Eventer Daivari. I wish you well. Onto today’s show. We begin with Divas action.

Melina vs Mickie James
Melina gets the paparazzi treatment before delighting us with her split legged entrance. Coachman dubs it the best entrance in the business. I agree. Mickie receives a big pop, Melina isn’t impressed. Coachman plugs the deep WWE Diva division. Mickie reverses a wristlock, Melina applies a waistlock, Mickie cartwheels free. Trapped in a waistlock, Melina tries the same tactic but Mickie carthwheels again in stereo before using a rollup with a bridge to get a one count. Melina gets her hand up to stop Mickie from punching so Mickie hooks a small package for another one count. The referee was badly in position there. Mickie applies a hammerlock, Melina uses her agility to step onto the ropes. With Melina perched Mickie simply drops Melina to the mat. As Mickie winds up an arm, Melina lands a right hook then takes Mickie down with a hair wrench. Melina gets some shots in as Mickie covers up. Melina uses the hair to tug Mickie into the ropes then yank back. Melina drags Mickie away by the leg before applying a modified camel clutch/leg pull combo. Mickie pulls hair forcing Melina to break. Melina performs a series of illegal chokes from the second rope to Mickie while delivering a seated senton in-between. Mickie manages to punch back then throw Melina to the mat. Both Divas get up at a referee’s seven count. Mickie lands a bulldog, two gut kicks, a forearm, chop and throw down by the hair. Melina goes to the corner, Mickie chops, Melina comes back with a cheap shot to the face. Melina Irish whips but charges into an elbow. Mickie comes out of the corner with a hurricanrana before hitting a low dropkick to the face for a nearfall. Mickie puts Melina in the corner, Mickie lands a battering ram to the gut. Melina knees the gut before hitting a battering ram of her own. Melina charges into a kick to the face. Mickie attempts a tornado DDT from the second rope but Melina sends Mickie to the mat. Melina boots the gut, knees the face then yanks Mickie down by the hair. Melina sets up for a suplex, Mickie slips behind, landing a boot and implant DDT for the 1-2-3. Mickie remains unbeaten on Heat. A fact Korpella points out during the bout. Here is Your Winner: MICKIE JAMES. A sloppy match with far too much hair pulling. A below par opener. Post match Mickie bows to the crowd then blows a kiss to the flat out Melina.

Snitsky vs Robbie Brookside
No reaction for Snitsky. Brookside gets a faint reaction as he is announced hailing from England. Brookside comes from Liverpool and is a British veteran who goes way back with William Regal to the World of Sport days. Korpella notes Brookside’s last WWE appearance in April when he got annihilated by Shane McMahon. Korpella neglects to mention Umaga’s involvement. Snitsky starts with shoves to the corner, some ring rage and crowd playing. Snitsky knees the gut, clubs the back, tells the crowd to shut up then goes for a slam but Brookside slips behind and gets some kicks in to the back of Snitsky’s leg. Brookside drops Snitsky with a dropkick to the knee. Brookside leaps off the second rope but Snitsky catches him before ramming him back first into the opposite corner. Snitsky kicks the head before ramming Brookside’s head into the corner. Snitsky slams, drops an elbow then gets Brookside up into a double underhook wrench. Snitsky breaks to knee the gut then shove Brookside to the corner and kick the gut. Snitsky hoists Brookside onto the second rope to punch then drop him to the floor with a big boot. Korpella hypes this up pretty big but it was pretty weak. Snitsky goes out to put Brookside back inside and it’s there that Snitsky finishes things with his pumphandle slam. 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: SNITSKY. Boring. Like Big Daddy V, Snitsky brings nothing to the table and is very stale. His three year run has been rather bad in my view. Coachman says Snitsky’s just waiting for an opportunity to take down a big name superstar. I think he’s taking space on the roster that would be better filled with someone else. Ahem Harry Smith.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Super Crazy vs Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin
Crazy takes Hacksaw’s USA flag on the way down. Hacksaw seizes a British flag from a planted ringside fan before getting a mic. Uh-oh. After getting the crowd Hooooed up, Hacksaw gives the mic to Crazy who responds with Si. Hacksaw wants something from the heart, cue a goofy dualling Hooo/Si dialogue which is thankfully interrupted by Haas and Benjamin. Benjamin feigns a clean break to get some shots in to Hacksaw who comes back with two clotheslines and a slam following a reversal off the ropes. After Benjamin eats a double backelbow, Crazy takes over on Benjamin with a headbutt, snapmare, rear naked choke and side headlock. Benjamin knees out of a waistlock attempt before Haas works over Crazy with punches and head rams in the corner. Haas Irish whips, Crazy retaliates with a headscissors and monkey flip. Crazy scores nearfalls with a la mahistrol cradle and sunset flip. Haas lands a knee before Irish whipping Crazy close to Benjamin. Crazy elbows Haas then knocks Benjamin off the apron. Haas places Crazy’s feet in the ropes then distracts the referee allowing Benjamin to nail a kick to the head from the apron. Haas hoists Crazy upside down before running him into the corner then shoving him to the floor. Benjamin puts him back in where he snapmares and traps Crazy in a bodyscissors/rear naked choke combo. Benjamin cuts off Crazy’s fightback with a knee. Benjamin misses a clothesline off the ropes, Crazy hits a cross body but Benjamin manages to tag out. Haas lands some measured shots before delivering a snapmare and kick to the back for a nearfall. Haas applies an abdominal stretch prompting Hacksaw to start a Hoo/Si chant from the apron. Crazy hiptosses free, both men tag out. Hacksaw dishes out a series of punches, a hiptoss and backbodydrop to Benjamin before connecting with the three point stance clothesline. Hacksaw covers 1-2-broken up by a Haas double axehandle. Haas and Crazy go at it, Crazy hangs onto the ropes resulting in Haas sailing over to the floor. Benjamin Irish whips Hacksaw, Hacksaw avoids a stinger splash, Hacksaw schoolboys Benjamin. 1-2-3. Big upset on Heat. Here Are Your Winners: HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN & SUPER CRAZY. Not bad but the wrong team won. Post match sees Hacksaw and Crazy embrace on the outside before waving their U.S and UK flags around ringside. Coachman puts over the surprise win.

Korpella thanks us for watching to end the show.

Best Match: Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Super Crazy vs Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin.
Worst Match: Snitsky vs Robbie Brookside.
Show Verdict: Thumbs down. Not much good came from this week’s show. Check out WWE.com for the Harry Smith vs Carlito match that was taped last Monday night. Hopefully they’ll give Harry’s upcoming TV debut some big fanfare and good build.

See you back here same time next weekend for Heat and a Cyber Sunday preview. Have a good week. Shaun.
