WWE Raw video highlights: McIntyre becomes number one contender

A match to decide Bobby Lashley’s Hell in a Cell challenger headlined last night’s episode of Raw.

Drew McIntyre defeated Kofi Kingston last night and will challenge for Lashley’s WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell on Sunday, June 20. As Kingston was coming off the top rope near the end of last night’s main event, McIntyre connected with a Claymore and pinned him to get the win.

McIntyre and Kingston shook hands after their match. Lashley then came out to the stage and posed with the WWE Championship.

McIntyre vs. Kingston had a stipulation where Lashley would have been suspended without pay for 90 days if he or MVP interfered in the match or even came out to ringside during it. The stipulation was made after Lashley and MVP interrupted McIntyre vs. Kingston last week and caused a disqualification by simultaneously attacking them.

McIntyre also challenged for Lashley’s WWE Championship at WrestleMania 37 and WrestleMania Backlash. The latter was in a triple threat match where Lashley pinned Braun Strowman to retain.
