Bank Official Steals Coins Worth Rs 84 Lakhs From His Branch To Buy Lottery Tickets

In a bizarre incident, a senior assistant manager of the State Bank of India (SBI) Memari branch in East Burdwan district of West Bengal has been arrested for stealing Rs 84 lakhs and that too in coins to buy a lottery ticket.

According toHT, Tarak Jaiswal (35) had a habit of gambling and it made him take advantage of his position as a custodian of the currency chest and he stole the said money in 17 months.
